“For anyone with an interest in Judaica and sacred objects, this book presents some of the most outstanding examples of contemporary Judaica—sacred Jewish objects—that have been created over the last 30+ years. Fifty-three makers have told their stories in their own words, giving incredible insights into why they make Judaica and what it means in their lives and in their journeys as artists.” - Schiffer Publishing

Gratitude for all of the frontline healthcare workers taking care of us during the COVID pandemic.

On October 15th I joined the Hand Medal Project as "Hand Maker #2782".

As “Hand Maker 2782”, I competed 36 Hand Medals. Together with six Boise State Alumni and Students, we made a total of 80 Hand Medals in about 2 weeks. As Idaho's "Hand Keeper", I worked with St. Luke's Hospital in Boise to get the 80 Hand Medals to frontline healthcare workers. These little Hand Medals are our small act of gratitude to show our appreciation and respect for the people on the frontlines, especially now as our COVID19 case numbers are surging.

In memory of the 11 victims of the Tree of Life massacre on October 27, 2018.

In memory of the 11 victims of the Tree of Life massacre on October 27, 2018, I donated 11 yahrtziet candle holders to the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA. The synagogue gave each yahrtziet candle holder to the families of the loved ones that were murdered. I did not know them, but their murders shook my core. Anti-Semitism, hate nd divisive rhetoric continue to grow in our country. When this massacre occurred in 2018, I was in the midst of preparing a cylinder demonstration for my advanced students. Two cylinders turned into 11 yahrtzeit candles - donated to the Tree of Life Congregation who plan to give them to the families of those that lost their lives.

May their memories always be a blessing
